I suffered macular degeneration (MD) for about a year, with symptoms slowly becoming worse. To fix my teeth, I started eating 2 spinach salads at lunch along with a guacamole sandwich. To my surprise, this combination caused MD symptoms to completely disappear.
Note I’ve recently done lots of testing with green smoothies combined with other types of fat (like cheese) and have found it is the fat of the avocado that works best.
The reason this works so well is that many of the eye vitamins (which spinach contains) require fat to be absorbed by the body.
Note that to keep the MD symptoms away, I always eat (or drink) super-greens daily, along with avocado (or cheese if there’s no avocado).
