Diaper Rash 20 Home Remedies

Home Remedies

My little one used to get yeast diaper rashes. I would open a capsule of probiotics and mix it in a jar with desitin or lard if you don’t have desitin, and colloidal oatmeal if possible. Wash the bum with a little bit of baking soda mixed with warm water, then slather on the probiotic mixture. The bacteria clears up the yeast infection. This cleared up the most stubborn painful rash he ever had in a matter of hours. If the rash is shiny and doesn’t respond to desitin alone, you need bacteria. Even plain cold yogurt will give the little one relief. I promise it works.

My baby had a bad nappy rash for weeks and we tried all kinds of nappy creams and remedies.we kept her nappy free and dry, etc. The only thing that worked for her was to wash her bottom every day with a cotton wool dipped in lukewarm chamomile tea (I put usually every morning 3-4 preferably organic tea bags in a cup of freshly boiled water),then dry properly with another cotton wool. After I apply a thin layer of nappy cream. Not only we got rid of a bad nappy rash ,even when she was teething her bottom was in a perfect condition.

Sudo cream followed by a thick layer of baby powder.
Can be allergy to formula try bready feed or goat milk/camel milk
Lots of air dry and frequent nappy chamge especially if diareah

My baby has had a severe diaper rash for the past 4 days now. I’ve tried every over the counter creme from desitin, a&d, butt paste, etc. Even prescriptions like dermocrem and nystatin didn’t work. After being really desperate to find a remedy, I tried % 100 organic extra virgin coconut oil and plain corn startch. I will NEVER use anything else again. When I say this worked wonders, it really did. His rash was healed % 50 within 3 diaper changes (over night). Coconut oil has natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties all in one. Way better than putting 3 different cremes with no luck. Plus it smells good and makes my babies skin feel so soft. The corn startch helps keep the oil on babies skin and keeps him dry even after he tinkles. I wish I could tell every mom in the world about this. It’s amazing!

my son has really bad diaper rash and he had surgery coming up and they said no rashes in the surgical area,I’m with the surgery only about 2 to 3 days out I had to find something that would work quick I tried desitin that’s a 10 I tried just regular Bag BalmI also tried to friend Bag BalmMaalox mix.none of them seem to work so I decided I try home remedies they heard of mixing them together the bag mom cornstarch desitin for the sink and then a little bit of aloe vera to help keep natural moisture and healing.by the next diaper change the redness was gone by the third diaper change the rash was completely. after the rash cleared up Dustin with a little bit cornstarch cotton ball keep off and I have one happy baby

Try Egg white applied on clean dry bottom with nappy rash , then putt the nappy on. And redo at each nappy change. Ensuring you wash bottom thoroughly n dry. Each nappy change. Before application too! Cleared up my daughters who got it bad because of her fruit intake and the acid they produce

For moderate diaper rash with redness, bumps and few blisters there may be a yeast component to complicate things. I used virgin coconut oil and then a layer of zinc oxide. I prefer Boudreaux Butt Paste. Also instead of wiping I would rinse his bottom of in the sink instead as to not irritate broken skin.his symptoms improved by about 50 percent the following day.

I was up at 12:39 am with a screaming baby due to inflammed diaper rashed and the destiny was not relieving her pain. So I started goggling and the site. I made a paste mixture of Nystatin, Desitin, and Hydrocortisone..and I brown some flour n let it cool. I put the paste on my baby girl and then cotton swab the browned flour on her bottom and she went to sleep. Woke up at 5:30 am and my baby redness was gone and it also look like her rash was already clearing up. So for the home remedy post for this mixture and flour really help my child and beats being in emergency and doctor visit any day!! Thanks

Here is a home remedy for diaper rash (I dont think simply recommending a store bought medication is a ‘home remedy.’)

My baby rarely gets diaper rash because I let her play naked most of the time. This is not usually a problem because she uses the bathroom at a particular pattern and I can expect it. But accidents do happen, so I make sure she is on a wipe-able surface like a hard floor or a pad under her.

At the first sign of diaper rash I give her a 10 minute sitz bath with a spoonful of baking soda.

Then I give her new water with a couple spoons of regular plain uncooked oatmeal. You can even use a coffee grinder on the oatmeal if you want, but its not necessary. Just dont use flavored oatmeal or ones with additives.

When I have to put the diaper on her, like if we’re going out, I put virgin coconut oil on her, or virgin olive oil if I dont have coconut oil.

How it works:

Coconut oil is a natural anti bacterial and anti fungal agent. Olive oil is rich in vitamin E. Oatmeal is anti-inflammatory. Baking soda is alkaline and neutralizes acid. Sometimes the acids in foods give babies diaper rash. (However, your baby’s diaper rash may be caused by an alkaline problem like urine, so if baking soda doesnt help, at first try a sitz bath with a little vinegar instead.)

When my daughter gets a diaper rash I use organic extra virgin coconut oil. Just apply it like you would desitin. It work fast and it is said to reduce the discomfort of your baby. Hope this helps!

Bag Balm works the best for diaper rash,in Cali.you can get it at feed stores,it’s for cow utters,I have been using it for 20 years,it’s AWSOME ,works overnight…it’s also great for eczema, burns, cuts, chapped lips etc.try it and u won’t use anything else,it’s in a cube like green can with a pic of cow utters on it.

My daughter would get these horrid diaper rashes whenever she would teethe. I mean red swollen bleeding. I had tried EVERYTHING!!!! What I found worked best was equal parts Nystatin, Desitin, and Hydrocortisone. You mix it all together and lather it on! Worked Wonders! Went away within 4 diaper changes!

breast milk! within 2 days has cleared up stool burn on our 7 week old. have used fresh pumped milk & from refrigerator. ….this is a no joke fix. i used cotton pads at diaper change with water, breasg milk & air dry & aquaphore .

I tried EVERYTHING for adult diaper rash – Triple paste, destin, Vaseline etc. – nothing worked. I talked to my 87 year old mother and she told me to take a cotton ball and dust the affected area with corn starch and sleep in the nude. I swear to you, the rash was gone the next morning. It saved me the money and embarassment of a doctors appointment.

This a Mexican thing, but works wonders! its a crème called ‘ Pomada de la Campana’, Dr. Bells Pomade…My one year old got a bad diaper rash, allergc reaction to new wipes=( anyways! worked great, I put it overnight, next morning rash/redness was gone!! you can find it in like the Hispanic stores, or even online =) hope this helps

i swear by flour…yes regular flour in your pantry…all u dois fry the flour til its a lite brown let it cool down a little then put it on their butt, put the remaining flour in a ziplock bag its good for no more than 4 days then throw it out..good luck.

I was told to use aquaphor and plain maalox or mylanta in equal parts to heal a diaper rash. It’s the same stuff you get in the pharmacy for the most part.

My son who had never had diaper rash before (he’s almost15 months old) all of a sudden broke out in this awful diaper rash. We put desitin on it and it kept getting worse. Finally it was bleeding and oozing and we had to find a new approach. We cleaned him with soap and water, let him thoroughly air dry (he loved the being naked part) and put antibiotic ointment on. It started to clear up and then he would have a bowel movement and it would go back to being awful again. I finally figured out that it was his diet doing the damage. He LOVES fruit and had eaten blueberries and raspberries at lunch for a couple of days. They are acidic and that’s what was eating him up. Now we will only have a couple of blueberries at a time. Poor little man!

Breast milk works the absolute best!!! Give them a bath then blow dry until they are no longer wet then apply breast milk and let it air dry. I did 2-3 layers then applied Lanolin. You want to repeat the breast milk and Lanolin application with very diaper change. My son’s rash was so bad you could barely hold him (he was only a week old); it was red, cracked, bleeding, from his genital to inner thighs to his anus. The next day the whole rash was gone!!! It was still a little pink but it was like a magic trick ‘now you see it, now you don’t’. He has extremely sensitive skin so everything else made it 10x worse. Breast milk is FULL of anti-bodies so it has to be the best all time natural remedy!

Stomahesive powder mixed with vaseline
and desidin extra strength. Pricy but
it works for my grandchild. So says my daughter.
