The following is a list anxiety symptoms,:

  • sweating
  • irritability
  • rapid heart beat
  • being self conscious
  • shortness of breath
  • nausea
  • insomnia(problems sleeping)
  • difficulty concentrating
  • chest pain
  • muscle tension
  • stomach distress

Note that the presence of these symptoms doesn’t usually mean that you suffer from an anxiety disorder. Many people who read online about psychological disorders start to believe that they suffer from them as soon as they experience a symptom or two.

Every normal person experiences anxiety at some point of his life and this doesn’t mean that the state of anxiety is an indication of the presence of a severe psychological disorder.

Understanding the symptoms of anxiety

One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to deal with anxiety is that they focus on controlling the symptoms or even suppressing them instead of focusing on treating anxiety itself.

If a person lacks self confidence and as a result feels anxious whenever he talks to strangers then it makes no sense at all to give him medication that can suppress his anxiety symptoms but instead the right thing to do is to help him build self confidence.

Unconscious symptoms of anxiety

In many cases people get used to a certain level of anxiety that they stop noticing the symptoms. The human brain was designed to ignore repetitive patters. This is why you stop smelling your perfume few minutes after putting it on.

Now if a symptom of anxiety was always present all day round then probably you will get used to it and even believe that you are fine where as you are not. This is why learning how to get a deeper level of your unconscious emotions can help you a lot in finding out the problems you are suffering from.

Shaking the legs for example is a habit that can happen for so many different reasons but one of those reasons is anxiety. You might be shaking your legs everyday just because your mind feels so anxious that it wants to distract itself.

Feeling anxious is a symptom itself

Anxiety itself can a symptom that indicates the presence of another underlying problem such as low self esteem, fear of rejection or even feelings of inferiority.

While working on a short term solution (such as suppressing the symptoms) can help for a short period of time still true recovery will never happen until you deal with the real reasons behind your anxiety.

Just like your mobile phone signals low battery when its battery needs to be recharged your body uses the signal of anxiety when it believes that you are not prepared to face a certain life challenge.

That’s why getting over depression, anxiety or any other unwanted emotion can only happen successfully when you get a deeper understanding of yourself. Luckily you arrived to the place that has all the resources you need to help you understand yourself in a perfect way.

I am not against the use of medications as they can help you ease the symptoms of anxiety but put in mind that they are not the permanent solution to the anxiety problem. Instead you can use them as pain killers until you manage to deal with the root cause of the problem.
